Roy Blyth started his butchery journey in 1982, when he opened the market stall with his wife Jean and sister Jean. With help from their 3 children Alison, Melissa & Neil.
Roy and Jean started with 2 cows in their allotment in Hartlepool, before moving to a farm in Barnard Castle in 1993 where they purchased 70 heifers and a herd of sheep. Jean always dreamed of a swimming pool in her garden, but she got cows instead.
In late 1994 Roy and Jean purchased their first Charolais heifers named Gemma & Geneva, and their first Charolais bull, Mowbray Park Gerard. They soon realised that Charolais were the future.
In December 2015 our Catcote Road store was opened, and we are always looking to the future.
